Stephanie Zaletel

Dance Performance / Choreography / Collaboration

Picture
Severe physicality juxtaposed with the drama of human consciousness is a core inspiration for my work as both a dancer and choreographer.

Every human body is unique, beautiful, and limited.

Our bodies are extensions of our mental voices, physically enacting that which cannot be described with language.

My work urges the human form to function at its full potential.

Stephanie Zaletel, born and bred in Las Vegas, NV completed her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography with a Minor in Humanities at the California Institute of the Arts in 2012. Within those four years, Stephanie had the privilege of performing in works choreographed by Daniel Charon, Ohad Naharin, Stephanie Nugent, Colin Connor, and Barak Marshall. She has also danced professionally for Natalie Metzger, Lisa Long, Rachel Boyajian, and Cherise Richards. Currently she lives in Los Angeles teaching, choreographing, and dancing with Danielle Agami's Ate9 dANCE cOMPANY. Stephanie and Louis Lopez (composer) will continue to collaborate on new projects in 2013.
